Another year, another list of games I am looking out for this year. A lot of games on my list are ones that were supposed to come out in 2021 so I am hopeful they will be out this year. And some already have release dates planned for the first half of the year so I won't have to wait long for some of these games.
10. Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Extraction (PC)
This game has my interest mostly because it is a different take on Rainbow Six Siege, another game that I enjoy playing. It's also a PVE focused game that can be played solo or with up to three friends which is great for my brother and I. The game also says every play through is never the same so I am curious to see how that works out. The alien angle is an interesting choice so that has me curious about this game as well. It also is nice that Hibana, the operator I use the most in Rainbow Six Siege, is in this game as well.

9. Dynasty Warriors 9 Empires (PC)
I have been a huge Dynasty Warriors fan since the third game in the series so this is a no-brainier for me to get. While the game has been released on Steam, the official English release is coming in February so that is when I plan on playing the game. The Empires series of Dynasty Warriors has always been a little more strategic than the base game. Granted, in the end you still take your character onto a battlefield and mow down hundreds of enemy units. I find these games to be mindless fun.

8. Warhammer 40,000: Darktide (PC)
Given the choice between Warhammer and Warhammer 40K, 40K wins every time. I played the RTS games back in the early 2000s and I read up on some of the lore because for those games. I did enjoy playing the Vermintide games which are set in the medieval Warhammer universe and Darktide is the same type of gameplay in the 40k universe. That fact alone has me excited for this game and the fact its a co-op game like Vermintide means for things for my brother and I to play. This game was delayed to this year so I am hoping it comes out this year.

7. Kirby and The Forgotten Land (Switch)
I am a fan of that pink ball of puff. Back when Kirby first came out on the NES, I didn't pay attention to it but now I find the game to be pretty good. It also helps that I use Kirby as one of my two mains in Smash Brothers so I made it a point to look into his games. An open world Kirby game sounds interesting enough for me to keep this game on my radar. Whether it works out is up for debate but we will find out later this year.

6. Multiverses (PC)
Out of all the games on this list, this is my wildcard. The premise of the game interests me; a Smash Bros. style game that uses characters from the WB universe. Personally, they could have made a game like this just using DC characters alone and I would have paid full price for it. The game being free to play means I am definitely going to check it out when it comes out later this year. My only concern is how it is going to compare to Smash Bros. since no matter what they do it is going to be compared to that game.

5. Gotham Knights (PC)
Gotham Knights has the best trailer of any game on this list. I've never been a big Batman fan, however over the bast few months I have taken a little more interest in his side of the DC universe. The gameplay looks interesting and I like how the game is going to focus on the other members of the Bat family besides Batman. The game also looks great as well. I hope this game lives up to my expectations when it comes out later this year.

4. Stranger Of Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin (PC)
Any new Final Fantasy game will at least catch my attention. From what I can gather, this is a new take on the original Final Fantasy's story. I am curious to see how that pans out considering the first Final Fantasy game, while a classic, was pretty bare bones as far as story and game mechanics. While I don't expect this game to reinvent anything, it does look like a decent game. It will end up to the fans of the franchise to decide if this game will last the test of time when it comes out later this year.

3. Persona 4 Arena Ultimax (PC)
Persona 4 ranks up there as one of my favorite games of all time so any game featuring characters from Persona 4 in going to make my list. This game already came out years ago on consoles so while it is not a new game, the fact that it is being released on PC has me excited. This game, along with Persona 4 The Golden, pretty much tells the story of Persona 4 and it is a story I feel most people should see. The game itself is a 2D fighting game that uses characters from Persona 3 and 4 and as mentioned before, this game closes out the stories for both games. I am hoping that this game does well enough that Atlus might consider bringing Persona 3 to PC in the future.

2. The King Of Fighters XV (PC)
I have been a King Of Fighters fan for the past couple of years so I am excited for a new game in the series. The game play looks good and I like from what I see from the roster. I am not someone who likes playing fighting games online so this is going to be a single player affair for me. I am hoping there is going to be enough to do in the game to keep me interested for the long haul. Who knows, I might even try this game online.

1. Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Shredder's Revenge (PC)
This is the game I have been waiting for all of last year and now it hopefully will come out this year. The game is a classic side scrolling beat'em up just like my brother and I used to play on the NES and SNES. The game has that look and feel from that era of gaming which has me even more excited for it. With them adding April as a playable character, I'm curious as to what else they will be adding into the game. Hopefully I won't have to wait all year for this one.

Bonus Game: Blackwind (PC)
I came across this game very recently and it immediately caught my eye. It looks fantastic, it has mechs and it has a co-op option. From the looks of it I won't have to wait long to try out the finished game.
